“Just be kind and brave. That’s all you ever need to be.”

– Fred Rogers

I am an experienced educational leader with a passion for facilitating growth and fostering inclusion within early childhood special education programs. With a career that began in a special education preschool classroom, including both integrated and within our preschool Future Readiness Program, I have dedicated myself to supporting children with diverse learning needs from an early age.

In 2020, I was honored to be named Teacher of the Year by Apache Junction Unified School District for my commitment to educational excellence and advocacy for young learners. This recognition fueled my dedication to creating accessible, engaging, and equitable learning experiences for all students.

I hold two Master of Education degrees, both earned with distinction from Northern Arizona University: one in Educational Leadership (Principal PreK-12), and the other in Early Childhood Education. I also graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Special and Elementary Education, and earned an Associate of Arts in Elementary Education from Central Arizona College.

As a mother of two boys, I understand the importance of nurturing not only academic growth but also developing children into kind, responsible citizens. This personal experience has enriched my perspective on education, deepening my empathy for students and families.

I truly believe in and lead with the "Kids First" motto, inspiring growth in every student. I am committed to crafting creators and leaders of tomorrow by ensuring that every child has the space to dream big, be kind, explore boldly, and rise together. My leadership role allows me to guide educators in delivering effective, inclusive instruction, while also advocating for policies that promote the educational rights of children with disabilities.

With many years experience in teaching and leadership, I work to support educators in creating inclusive school environments that embrace all learners. I am deeply committed to professional growth and continue to seek innovative ways to support early childhood education programs through collaboration with colleagues, families, and the community. My work is grounded in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed and be celebrated for their unique abilities.
